“Attimi Di Vita” is one of my earliest photographic projects. It emerged from a quiet, intuitive act of wandering through Carrara, the small town in Tuscany where I grew up, and observing its people, spaces, rhythms, and atmospheres. Moving without a fixed agenda, I photographed what surrounded me, including people, trees, and the subtle details of everyday life, allowing each moment to guide my attention. I have always been interested in capturing moments in life and photographing the world around me, but it was this particular body of work that clarified my desire to pursue photography more seriously. Among these images, one of the most significant is the photograph I titled The Umbrella Man. This image played an important role in my early relationship with photography, revealing a sense of presence, stillness, and human poetry that first drew me to the medium. Through this project, photography became not only a way of seeing, but a way of connecting to place, memory, and experience, marking the beginning of my enduring relationship with the medium.”
